Another Banning About To Happen

It seems that JimABassPlayer, who is bang on the money with his posts, didn't realise that you cannot be critical of Islam on AW, it is one of Mac's sacred cows. You can, of course, shred Christianity, which Mac really has a hate-on for. Perhaps because of that verse about homosexuality being an abomination? I guess Mac, who is a self-confessed lesbian, doesn't know that lesbians are executed in Islamic countries. "4,000 lesbians and gays have been executed since the 1979 Islamic revolution. Methods of execution include; beheading, chopped in two, stoning to death, burning alive, and being thrown alive from a high building." So Mac defending Islam, is every bit as bizarre as a Jew defending the Nazis.

To fit in on AW you have to be a Christian hating, anti-white, homosexual leftie. You also have to hate self-publishing.

This is the PM that JimABassPlayer sent to Mac/Mel.

Firstly, thank you for the AW and allowing my participation in it. I find it an interesting, useful resource for persons with an enjoyment for writing.

While I consented to remain silent on the issue in the ISIS thread (and will abide by such, despite being taunted and provoked in my absence to respond), I think your criticism (public or private) of my post was entirely unwarranted.

For one thing, there were posts in the ISIS thread which were actually inflammatory toward Islam, whereas my post alluded to historical facts and currently observable conditions in the present -- which you said were "both factually pretty questionable, and logically untenable" without citing a single piece of evidence in support of your allegation. (If I had made a similar accusation against another member without backing it up, I doubt it would have stood well.)

For another thing, there are posts in the ISIS thread (and throughout the entire forum) which are highly critical of Western civilization. Apparently, determination of which criticisms are to be tolerated in the forum is based upon the target of the criticism, not the factual and/or observable basis of such. To me, this seems somewhat hypocritical, as a door should swing both ways in a public forum, not just one.

As related to the assertion that my post was "nonsense" (by the person who attacked it after my being warned not to respond) -- if being asked to compare life in place A with life in place B is nonsense, clearly I'm using a different dictionary than everyone else.

The only reason I can assume that I was singled-out is because (contrary to others who rationalized in ambiguous theory: past, present, and future) I asked a straightforward question, the answer of which could be readily ascertained through a simple observation of the here and now by anyone with eyes to see: "Compare the industry, commerce, science, art and freedom of Europe and the United States to any Islamic state now."

Based on my experiences in the ISIS thread today, it would seem that the truthful, easily-observable answer to a simple question apparently hurts far more than others ranting about extraneous conjecture, and/or the pointless, incessant exchange of quid pro quo accusations against historical wrongs*.

    * I have long been intrigued by the way politically correct standards seem to tolerate assigning praise or blame collectively (everyone receiving equal shares), but flinches in revulsion at the thought of one (individual, group, culture, etc.) being (or having been) better or worse than another.

While I appreciate your responsibility as chief moderator (one I would never want myself), and understand that you must occasionally intervene in threads, I am nonetheless disappointed (but not surprised) by this exchange and the way in which it was handled in this community which I respect, and in which I would like to continue steady, active involvement. As stated previously, I will not publicly post another word on this subject. Thank you.

How could he want to stay at a forum that treats him like dirt? Where the f&ck is his pride?

Good question. I'd have told that gender uncertain libtard to go f*ck itself. Those with pride are banned. Those with none remain.

I stopped all participation in AW about a week ago, once I realized the behavior wasn't confined to me. As a relative newbie (only a member for about 10 days prior to the above incident, w/104 posts), I had no idea such behavior was as widespread as I've since come to learn. Jim

    1. Sorry about your bad experience at AW, Jim. The majority of authors who go there end up either being banned or leaving. It's a notoriously nasty forum. Rest assured, you're by no means alone.

I try to be fair and initially give everyone the benefit of the doubt, always trying to disagree in an agreeable and respectful manner. However, I will never respect or trust anyone I discover to be a liar or a hypocrite, in which case I will forever disassociate myself from such -- as is now the case with AW. Jim
